About Me

Omar received his bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2022. Omar is currently pursuing graduate studies as a Master’s student in Software Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. Within the realm of research, Omar's focus lies in the development of Real-Time 5G-Enabled Management Systems for Civil Infrastructure using Augmented Reality where he combines data communication and Artificial Intelligence to enhance structural inspection techniques. Omar's dedication to his research is evident through his involvement in a summer research internship in 2022, during which he successfully published a paper on automated multiclass structural damage detection and quantification system using Augmented Reality. Omar's exceptional academic performance and commitment to innovation have not gone unnoticed. He was honored with the prestigious Ontario Graduate Scholarship (valued at $15,000), a significant recognition of his scholarly achievements.
